Bit twee but it makes me laugh and is available print and in English is Billy & Buddy (Boule et Bill in French). Cinebook has it. Gag comic about a boy and his dog. Series debuted in 1959 and some of the gags remain timeless

The Belgians and French have kind of nailed single page comedy strips

New Cinebook Titles in July: “Outlaws” wraps, “The Bank” continue
There are two new titles from Cinebook out in July, building further in their massive catalogue of carefully selected translated bande dessinée and other overseas comic stories. This month sees the release of the final volume of Orbital spin-off, Outlaws, by Sylvain Runberg and Eric Chabbert, and a fourth volume of The Bank by Pierre Boisserie & Philippe Guillaume, with art by Malo Kerfriden. Cinebook has worked to become the premier publisher of the Franco-Belgian Ninth Art in English in markets dominated by American superhero comics and Japanese manga since 2005.

I feel my little descriptions are not doing the book much justice, as there are sequences in these comics that are SO good, I implore you to discover them for yourselves.

European readers should have no problem finding these. If you pick up the Cinebook versions, please follow the original order...

Personally, I think EVERY publisher needs to reprint Weapon X.
Get Cinebook on line 2 and make sure Avatar Press is fully operational
"you get a weapon x reprint, and YOU get a weapon x reprint and YOU get a weapon x reprint!"

Ah, it’s meant as a compliment I forget which volume but Laureline is in some sort of period dress a bit like this. The Cinebook volumes are worth a look if you get the chance.

Cinebook publishing franco-belgian comics from the 70s and 80s with racist caricatures: We are sorry, but we have to publish it as is, we don't want to censor the ugly past.

Cinebook publishing franco-belgian comics from the 70s and 80s with female nipples: No! NO! COVER THEM UP!!!

Found this at the back of a Valerian and Laureline reprint book which is just outright saying Lucas lifted a ton of shit from the Valerian stories for Star Wars.

Was it a popular series there? Never seemed to take off in english, but in recent years it's been translated by cinebook.
