most cutscenes in-game are done with lineart in the visual novel engine but i'm doing a choice few as in-engine cinematics. i think there'll be like, 5 of them done this way?

My fear of using Meteor came to fruition: Him becoming the canon character instead of a stand-in for the WoL in cinematics. Now everything deemed "feminine" is "gay" and can't have that. 😭

Just beat Final Fantasy Resonance! What a beautiful game
The HD-2D art and cinematics were really impressive, the story was rich and emotional, and the Vision system and battle design were pretty clever

FYI the 2D cutscenes are not more cost-effective than the full cinematics which is why we abandoned them.

I call Reforged the "WoW Cinematic" setting. The original (and now Definitive) look like WoW in game, but Reforged reminds me of the WoW cinematics at expansion launches and such.
