We've been listening to this a lot recently.
Originally recorded by the band Djinn in 1966.
Bowie recorded a demo in 1969 as a possible for his 2nd album.
Eventually released in 2019 on 'Clareville Grove Demos'

Have you been to the Clareville bakery, just out of Carterton? They do amazing things with custard, and a mean pie.

Iconic 1971 Photoshoot Captures Olivia Newton-John's Early Career Style at Clareville Studios
The article discusses a vintage photograph of Olivia Newton-John taken in 1971 by music photographer Jeremy Fletcher at Clareville Studios in London. This photoshoot occurred around the release of her debut studio album, 'If Not for You,' and showcases the English-Australian singer in classic 1970s fashion. The images feature Newton-John in various outfits, including a dark brown button-up blouse with a high-waisted neutral mini-skirt, statement belts, and knee-high leather boots, as well as a minimalist black turtleneck holding a bouquet of spring flowers. Clareville Studios, located on Clareville Street in South Kensington, London, was a popular hub for portraiture and promotional shoots for rising artists in the UK music scene during the late 1960s and 1970s. Jeremy Fletcher, working for agencies like Redferns, captured the soft, approachable, and natural charm that quickly turned Newton-John into an international sweetheart before her later transition to pop-rock superstardom in 'Grease' (1978). The article provides historical context about the studio and photographer, emphasizing Newton-John's early career phase and the significance of these images in her rise to fame. The content is part of a blog called 'Vintage Everyday,' which features historical photographs and stories from various eras, particularly focusing on the 1970s and earlier decades. The blog includes other vintage content such as science fiction magazine covers from the 1940s and 1950s, photos of Swedish wives from the 1960s and 1970s, and historical medical devices. The article is dated September 26, 2026, which appears to be a future date, suggesting it might be a placeholder or error in the blog's content. However, the historical content about Olivia Newton-John and the photoshoot is consistent with her actual career timeline, as she did release her debut album 'If Not for You' in 1971 and began her rise to fame around that time. The blog's structure includes typical elements of a vintage photography blog, with categories by decade, popular posts, and social media links. The article itself is a straightforward historical piece about a significant moment in Newton-John's career, highlighting her early style and the context of her debut album. The mention of 'Grease' (1978) as her later transition to pop-rock superstardom is accurate, as that film marked her breakthrough into mainstream pop culture. The article does not contain any sensationalist claims or misleading information, and the historical details align with known facts about Newton-John's career. The future date of September 26, 2026, is likely an error in the blog's content management system, but it does not affect the validity of the historical information presented about the 1971 photoshoot. The blog appears to be a legitimate vintage photography blog that curates historical content, and the article about Olivia Newton-John fits within its typical content style. The content is not a placeholder or generic example but a specific historical piece about a famous artist's early career. The article does not contain any obvious signs of being fake or fabricated; the details about the photoshoot, the studio, and Newton-John's career are consistent with historical records. The blog's other content, such as the mention of science fiction magazine covers and historical medical devices, further supports that it is a legitimate vintage content blog rather than a fake or placeholder site. The article is well-written and provides context about the photographer, the studio, and the significance of the photoshoot in Newton-John's career, making it a valid historical piece. The future date is an anomaly but does not invalidate the historical content. The article is not clickbait; it's a straightforward historical piece about a famous artist's early career. The title is descriptive and informative, not sensationalist. The content is related to the title, as it discusses the 1971 photoshoot of Olivia Newton-John at Clareville Studios. The article is not fake; it's a legitimate historical piece about a famous artist. The category for this article should be 'Photography' as it focuses on a specific photoshoot and its historical context. The tags should be 'vintage photography', 'olivia newton-john', '1970s fashion' as these are the key themes of the article. The language of the original text is English, as the entire article is written in English.

One80, Curry Rice Papad Project.

A pair of burgers - one fish & one beef - on the best rolls I've had so far. (Clareville Bakery basmati rice kanji bun) Poppadum-spiced fries and pickle aioli.

Great effort here. I'd have the fish again. Beef patty was perfect but cooked way too far for my taste.

One of my favorite routes in Sydney's former tram network is the Kogarah to Sans Souci line, an isolated route which connected the peninsula of Sans Souci and Sandringham to the main Illawarra railway line at Kogarah. It featured a distinctive one-way loop around the peninsula.
