If you're using a self-hosted wordpress site (ie. Not on wordpress.com ) you can install the classiceditor plugin which removes the blocks nonsense and gives you back the standard WYSIWYG editor.

Wordpressとブロックエディタの話。周回遅れもいいとこの話題ではありますが、一時期ブロックエディタに慣れようと思ってしばらく使ってみたもののClassicEditor+ショートコードに戻ったんですが、Geminiになんでこんな使いづらいブロックエディタが激推しされてるの？って聞いてみたら、あれはそもそもコードを自由に触れる/触りたい人のためのものじゃないので、無理に慣れなくても使いやすい方法を選べばいいって話でした。そもそも今までやってることをブロックエディタでもっと効率的に出来るって性質のものでもない…そんなものを標準機能として搭載すんなよって思うんですけどね。

Decided to work with @wordpress.org #Gutenberg instead of the decades old #ClassicEditor and found the block system with template plugins and patterns very dynamic & helpful and really speeds up a page build. Didn't have to worry which theme to use, as blocks & patterns almost replace that system.
