Layers upon layers, good and bad
Life never gives us what we expect

A #macro #BnW crop of one of "Blooming Wonders," an interactive immersive #DigitalArt exhibition at #ARTECHOUSE Houston.

Then, its dizzying colour original. Your preference?

A high-contrast, black-and-white photograph capturing a top-down, macro view of countless pointed, petal-like or spine-like structures radiating outward from a dense central cluster. The elements in the center are shorter and tightly packed, creating a grid-like pattern, while those toward the edges elongate into sharp, tapering tips that mimic an explosive burst or a blooming flower. Highlighting the texture: tiny, glistening white droplets or speckles are scattered across the dark, smooth surfaces of the protrusions, enhancing the stark contrast between the bright, illuminated tips and the deep shadows hidden between the layers. ARTECHOUSE is a sort of digital art hub with location in a few major cities like Houston, DC, or NYC & it stands out across the country for pioneering completely immersive, technology-driven exhibits that blend art, science, and tech. Specifically in Houston, their massive 26,000-square-foot multi-gallery space and flagship in The Heights neighborhood offers a unique, interactive playground where visitors become part of the large-scale digital projections. "Its core mission is to stimulate creative innovation and push boundaries at the intersection of art, science, and technology by providing a dedicated platform for genre-pushing new media artists. The organization's ultimate goal is to inspire, educate, and empower audiences by redefining how 21st-century art is created, experienced, and shared globally." A vibrant, abstract digital illustration featuring a dense, bursts-like arrangement of countless smooth, rounded, spine-like projections radiating outward from a darker central point. The projections are colored in a striking gradient, transitioning from bright neon greens on the right and bottom-left to deep blues in the center and bottom-right, with a splash of vivid magenta and purple in the upper-left quadrant. Tiny, glittering white and gold speckles are scattered across the tips of the spines, creating a glowing, star-like effect against the colorful backdrop.

The people passing, passing by
And not a single one can see
My tiny watching eye"

A market stall mirror acting as window to another place, another time, other hopes, other dreams, remembered joy

Black and white photograph of a mirror hanging in a market stall, alongside strings decorated with twigs and globes of patterned glass. In the mirror a woman's face with a long braid can be seen, reflected and not bodily in the main image.

The tiny little ecosystem at the base of a cement post in an asphalt parking lot

What looks like a grassy meadow is, in fact, some very tiny (< 4cm) grass. In front of it are assorted tiny pebbles and leaves. In the background is the base of a cement pole - or maybe it's a steel tube filled with concrete? The base is rusty, but the top is definitely concrete...
