His family gathered in celebration as they celebrated Tatum’s 3rd birthday, but before he could even acknowledge his daughter, True and her cousin Dream joined him on the party’s stage.Tristan, always the cheerful soul he was, placed himself at the center of their attention. He smiled triumphantly, his eyes reflecting a mix of joy and pride. His face lit up as he shared a heartfelt selfie with his daughter, True, who was standing right in front of him. True, who had been holding back her usual quiet demeanor, burst into laughter, her voice clear and infectious.“True,” Tristan said softly, placing a hand on her arm. “I’m so happy for you.” Dream, his cousin, stood close by, wearing an old red jacket and jeans. She nodded along with the others, her expression light as a bulb. “We miss you both,” she said, her voice soft but sincere. As they moved around the celebration area, Tristan couldn’t help but feel a sense of connection between him and his family. They laughed so hard that the walls of Bckonline’s virtual garden seemed to swell around them.“Tatum is so lucky to have us here,” dream said, his voice barely above a whisper. “It makes me feel so good knowing we’re all together.”As the celebration continued, Tristan couldn’t help but notice that he wasn’t forgetting anyone. He turned to face True again, smiling at her in return. Clay Holmes, one of the few consistent performers for the New York Mets this season, suffered a fractured right fibula after being hit by a comebacker from Spencer Jones during Friday's game against the Yankees. Holmes continued to pitch through the fifth inning but was ultimately removed as the Mets fell 5-2 at Citi Field. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza described the injury as a major setback, noting that Holmes had been a reliable starter with a 1.86 ERA in his first eight starts. The team’s rotation has already been weakened by Kodai Senga's lumbar spine inflammation and inconsistent performances from David Peterson and Sean Manaea. With Holmes sidelined, the Mets may need to rely on struggling minor leaguers like Jonah Tong or the promising Jack Wenninger, though neither is likely to fully fill Holmes' role. Key players including Juan Soto, Francisco Lindor, Luis Robert Jr., and Jorge Polanco are also dealing with injuries, further complicating the season. Despite contributions from rookies Carson Benge and A.J. Ewing, the Mets now face a challenging stretch without their top starting pitcher, highlighting the ongoing difficulties of an injury-ridden campaign.
