There was also an earlier company doing the same thing, CleanFlicks if I remember correctly. Also started by Mormons in Utah. It was shut down after being sued by a bunch of movie production companies.

Then there's CleanFlicks, which was a video rental place in Utah where you could get movies with anything remotely questionable removed. There's a whole documentary about that place.
They got sued in 2002 and closed 2006 after they lost the case.

As I remember, CleanFlicks tried to do something like this a quarter century ago, and as I trmember, was sued out of oblivion by filmmakers and studios for copyright infringement.
I'd also bet Lionsgate would need to get permission from the producers of the John Wick films in order to do this.
