When mines are abandoned, they cause so many harmful things to our environment, such as habitat loss, loss of wildlife diversity, water contamination land degradation, and soil contamination. This affects our day to day lives and will soon become a bigger issue. #cleanupthemines #SPCH145advocateJ36

CLEAN UP THE MINES!!!!! The USA has an estimated 140,000 abandoned hardrock mines. This is SO harmful to our environment! Chemicals like cyanide, mercury, arsenic, and lead are being leaked into our atmosphere every day that these mines aren't cleaned up!! #cleanupthemines #SPCH145advocateJ36
