For videos, Brackeys, ClearCode, Godotneers, GodotGameLab, are all good. Plus a couple I'm forgetting. (And for shaders, FencerDevLog and Le Lu). And godot's official docs are actually extremely strong.

Also, there are now a number of great YouTube channels to get you started: Brackeys, Godotneers, ClearCode, and GDQuest are all high quality (and many other quality creators as well).

Finally, lots of good sample projects on the Godot project load page -> Asset Library -> filter "demos"

There's also this monster of a tutorial with a lot of good info for different styles of games from clearcode that'd be good to hop around in if you're making something similar to one of the example projects.

For Godot (which is what I would recommend for learning game development) I liked the tutorials from Bramwell (youtube.com/@bramwellwil...) and ClearCode (youtube.com/@clearcode).

Looks like ClearCode has some newer and quite extensive 3D game tutorials.

An hour of dev time MAX per night is not a ton of progress. What if I tried some vIbE cOdInG iNsTeAd? Just kidding—absofuckinglutely not—all decisions and written code are cringeworthy 100% organic human error and I’m goddamn proud of it

The tutorials in the docs are good but Brackys, Heart beast and Clearcode have tutorials I really enjoyed. They go over use of the editor more than the docs do.

Finally baring down and learning to code in Python. Shoutout to the ClearCode YouTube for the excellent step by step tutorials, as well as John Elder’s ‘Intro to Python’ book. here’s a live look in at me trying to cram stuff into my brain:

...and ended up with a nice little HtmlAttribute value object that knows how to render itself.

To get there, I intentionally took on some TECH DEBT for about 15 minutes so I could get the tests to pass, then I did some nice refactoring to make the code more clear.
