Cléoma and Joe Falcon of Crowley & Roberts Cove, LA sang “Allons à Lafayette” in a New Orleans hotel room for a Columbia Records field session in 1928. It’s now widely considered the first commercial Cajun recording.
We've got us another Monday. Live it fully.

"Ma Blonde Est Partié" by Amadie Breaux, Ophy Breaux, & Cleoma (misattributed as "Clemo") Breaux (1929)
I find this Cajun classic emotional and beautiful in ways I can hardly explain. Evokes this contradictory mix of melancholy and joy, musically feels like it never resolves.

Behold the beauty of Cajun music by Joseph Falcon and Cleoma Breaux.
Recorded August 8, 1934 in San Antonio, TX.
