Hard to believe that @BayAreaClipper charges $3.00 to reload a ClipperCard at SFO BART. I have many positive things to say about using the clipper card for @SFBART and @GoCaltrain trips, but have to call out this ridiculous money grab. No wonder ridership is so poor.

Round my wayif you were more than 3 miles away (maybe 2) then you got a free bus pass, valid all day Mon-Fri. Everyone else just paid the standard, fixed children's fair. Or, if your parents didn't trust you with money, you could get a Clippercard. 10 prepaid trips on a card you put into a reader.

Burned down my remaining #clippercard accounts today. Their account migration (new IT system) was a s&*tshow. Have been a customer since early transitlink beta program and sad to see it die. Fittingly the refund process involves paper, stamp, a $5 fee per card and a 30 day refund process. Also […]

I was finally able to create an account, but I can't add my existing card to it
"Record Not Found" error. I can't seem to find any documentation or support on it
I also tried calling to check the balance and the lookup couldn't find it

Something interesting i learned yesterday is that unlike the Bay Area’s ClipperCard, you can use OMNI in New York to tap any rider on. See someone getting harassed by a cop for non-payment? Tap your phone a second time to cover your new friend’s payment!
