Cocaton - my HO scale railroad town - was dismantled a couple of years ago, but now she is being rebuilt in my basement. The mural is mostly complete. The table is now ready for the train and the buildings.

This was the original Cocaton, with Stonehenge on the mountain! My 15 year old daughter did the mural - she knows I love CLOSE ENCOUNTERS and FANTASTIC MISTER FOX! 😍

Cocaton is an awesome place! It was dismantled several years ago and I'm in the process of setting it up again. I gotta finish the background wall first...

Cocaton was an HO scale town in a spare bedroom, but a couple of years ago, I dismantled it. It will now rise from the ashes in my basement! The first step is a new mural. My daughter was going to paint it (as she painted the original), but now I have decided to paint it. Stay tuned for updates...

In 2021, my daughter Caroline painted a mural for #Cocaton, our #HOscale town. In 2026, I'm moving Cocaton to my basement, so my brother in-law sealed my crumbling basement wall, as a birthday present for me - thanks, Joe! Caroline plans to create a new mural this summer - stay tuned for updates!

Back in 2021, my (then 15 y.o.) daughter Caroline painted this whimsically iconic mural for Cocaton, based on two of my favorite movies. Cocaton is relocating to my basement, and the artist has offered to paint another mural, saying "I can do so much better than that now." Support local artists!

My basement is about to become the new location for Cocaton, my whimsical HO-scale town! Cocaton was first created about ten years ago, but was dismantled three years ago; like the phoenix, she will now rise. Cocaton is a portmanteau for Conrad and Caroline town (Caroline being my daughter).

Welcome to Cocaton: it's oddly familiar! My daughter Caroline painted the mural and I built a small town that is visited by aliens, has a lake beastie, and a Stonehenge on the mountain. It currently lives in my memory but someday - like Brigadoon - it will return... (Conrad+Caroline+town=Cocaton)
