I don't feel as compelled as some to defend the CCP more broadly but it's eternally wild how many liberals on here can post what's basically the political equivalent of gangstalking delusions about China and receive zero skepticism from their peers lol

I worked for a government contractor and we moved all of our servers into a data center in El Segundo, CA. Digital Realty. They had zero employees. Only contractors building new collocations and security guards that are 1000x worse than TSA.

‘Intellectual titan’, ‘towering intellect’, all those collocations that link learning and cognitive prowess with height and domination. But we really need thinking that can seep below closed doors and between cracks, slow and supple, impossible to resist.

Y que quieren unas estructuras determinadas y que uses x collocations de una lista que tienen y los temas son lo más aburrido del mundo. No sé por qué se ha convertido en estándar, me pareció mejor pensado el Toefl.

If you're a beginner or low-intermediate learner of Japanese you can get 初級から学ぶ 日本語コロケーション (Japanese Collocations Associative Learning for Beginners) which is very similar, teaching you vocabulary through association with similar words and phrases.

this is an example i think the average person can easily spot, but when you start getting into the kinds of technical language inherent to an SCP article, avoiding bad collocations requires you to have actually read some (maybe a lot) of technical writing

Ridiculously humid. However many two-word collocations there may be in the English language, that’s smack at the bottom. Right next to warm Cabernet.
