Strix’s custom class is Auspex- it’s a fluid, adaptable mix of the entire colormage spectrum (a la post-ShB Y’shtola or G’raha) mostly in the usual ranged magic mode.
Be careful, if that changes to “Haruspex,” you are in for A Time.

Strix is canonically a colormage (BLM/WHM/RDM/BLU), in roughly descending order of expertise/frequency of use. Most of her mage career consists of stuff she learned in the course of perusing her main research interest, uncovering non-lethal intervention options for tempering.
Strix may do an occasional toast with her family's tej-like honeywine or arak cut with rosewater, but she mostly prefers to abstain. Alcohol plays havoc with colormage aethersensory accuity and she's had some awful experiences with near-poisoning.

Canonically, Strix specializes in colormage, and keeps up with at least the theoretical basics of the other DoM jobs. I have one of each non-DoM role for combined role quest stuff.
