For the first time since June, the global condition of the sea ice no longer has a record-low extent 🎉

- due to increasing ice extent in the Arctic (freeze-up season),

- and due to a slower decreasing extent in the Antarctic (melting season).

The sea-ice extent in the region of Fram Strait and the Greenland Sea has not been this large in November since 1997.

For this day-of-year, the extent is now the 6th highest on record.
