I support bringing family doctors and nurse practitioners to the District, following the model of Colwood and Langford. Government should be focussed on fixing important issues, not just planning for things we won't ever do.

We have a GP in Vancouver, and have since moved back, but we were without a GP in nearly two years on the South Island. I was just notified that there was GP availability for us in Colwood.

I commuted to/from Victoria for a few years. That Colwood crawl has been an issue for decades. The three lane portion still hasn't been finished 15 years in!

Thinking about this when I was out in the field today. On the bus ride out to the Colwood exchange, I looked at my paper map and suddenly realized that I could walk to the site and not have to take a 3rd bus. This turned my "probably going to be late" scramble into having almost an hour to spare.
