Surprised to see a Petrel over the River Parrett near Combwich at 16:15 today in very calm conditions. Someone who had good views IDed it as a Leach's Storm Petrel.

The Combwich century, my first audax. Wet as an otters pocket, my brakes failed and I got lost as I was trying to navigate with a route sheet alone. No surprise I DNF.

It clearly wasn't the last DNF, but I've had my fair share of successes as well #cycling #audax
