My dogs been in slow recovery and I have to give her the “magic cheese” every time she gets too restless or excitable while her paw heals. At least she’s cozy while drugged. 😅

Who wants to snug underneath two comforters and a quilt, with my bat, in heavy padding..

It’s full of “strong female characters” as they are in the standard American male-oriented imagination: focused on men, either as comforters, admirers, helpmeets—or opponents furious that men are more passionate and powerful.
I've written a bunch about this stuff before (and in bits and pieces today) but I've always felt that while Wheel of Time appears progressive on the surface, with lots of strong female characters, nations and major organizations led by women, the undercurrents are pretty rancid.
Despite its incredible cosmic weirdness about gender, I actually think the series was in some ways progressive for epic high fantasy of its era. It featured lesbian and bisexual characters without too much leering and a positive, heroic depiction of polyamory. It called imperialism an explicit evil.

I’ve decided to put two goose feather comforters on my bed. My wife argued that’s too warm but I’m doubling down.
