I think what has stuck with me the most about #ResidentEvil is that Zach Cregger crafted a film that is not a retelling of the games, doesn't make overt connections to the lore but still finds a way to make it feel like the latest game in the franchise but in film form. I really enjoyed it! #FilmSky
Resident Evil (2026) movie poster with a portion of Michael's Letterboxd review layered over it. In the bottom right corner is the Comicast logo and in the bottom left corner is the ESPN Houston logo.

Saw #TheUprising earlier this week and I came away a bit mixed on it. Andrew Garfield fuels the film with a great performance. The cast around him do exceptional work as well (save for one that you can read about in the review). The technical aspects are what really hindered my enjoyment. #FilmSky
The movie poster for The Uprising (2026) is shown featuring Andrew Garfield's The Ploughman. The poster shows the movies tagline "Rise or Die" and has info regarding director Paul Greengrass. In the top left corner are the logos for ESPN Houston and Comicast. Overlaid on top of the poster is a portion of Michael's Letterboxd review of the film. In the image there are 2 photos from the movie The Uprising (2026). The top photo is a close shot of Andrew Garfield's The Ploughman looking off to his right at something happening off camera. In the bottom photo it shows The Ploughman and thousands of other villagers marching. Overlaid in the middle center is a portion of Michael's Letterboxd review. In the bottom right corner is the ESPN Houston logo and in the bottom left corner is the Comicast logo.

I loved #SpiderManBrandNewDay! I thought Destin Daniel Cretton did an exceptional job delivering a fantastical story, but arguably the most grounded Spidey story. The visuals are stunning & the action is amazing, feeling throughout as if everything was ripped straight of the comics. #FilmSky
