We live not too far from Grand Blanc, Michigan. Our son worked with one of the deceased. Our kids' 5th grade teacher's husband is the Mayor of the city. Another of our son's co-workers went to church with the suspect.

This was entirely preventable.
It's about 30 years too late to have common sense gun laws re-enacted, but it's better to be late than to never fix the problem.
