oh high key. i think survivalists are stupid too. they're individualists. individualism is a stupid ideology. communalism is superior regardless. plus they've probably underestimated how hard it will be psychologically and how much they actually are gonna need. groups are better for that too.

I've read a lot about the 60s/70s hippies communes, and strong belief in communalism could produce similar problems, because you attract two unwanted types:
1) People taking advantage

A lot of people praise shit like Ubuntu or communalism in general from the Left (especially post-colonial ones) but it sounds hellish.
For instance, in a society where each community decides who counts as a person, one shudders to imagine what level of personhood queer people may receive.
