*squints* oh right, all those condos by the Guthrie
Here’s a map of how Cedrick Frazier won Hennepin County Attorney over Anders Folk by 1.5 points. Good reminder: land doesn’t vote! Huge DFL margins in (most of) Minneapolis & north suburbs overcame deficits in wealthier burbs, some w/lots of Republicans. Precinct-level: 2026hennepinatty.netlify.app

What are elf condos?

From what I understand from following ultra YIMBYs, CA builds few condos relative to apartments because in condos you can be sued for defects in construction for 10 years, but for apts it's only 3. This fixes it by reducing it to the apt duration.

the young left of center PMC understandS that homelessness is a political choice, and that apartments/condos/multifamily are actual, real homes, not just transitional housing for the temporarily embarrassed who can't afford a single family home

Those condos in South Florida were widely known to be a resort for Russian women wanting anchor babies…

really it was the death of industrialization that made factories available, not really sure how that works with condos and light warehouse areas

Ideally yes but sadly they do have a super vote which is why Fannie Mae won't do financing for condos where a single entity owns 20% or more of the units.

And the ruzzians paid way over-inflated prices for those condos, following the pattern of how the Kremlin creates millionaire/billionaires, then calls in it's debts.

California condo building has collapsed, and advocates blame a 2002 law that invites lawsuits over defects.

Condos were 3% of new multifamily homes in 2011-2021, versus nearly 40% in Canada.

A reform bill died this year; sponsors will try again.

Condos exist. They aren't the same as HOAs.

The reason we don’t build condos is because the USA has a uniquely bad legal structure that YIMBYs are desperate to fix.

they want to develop condos and the locals are like nope.

It's possible New Ohio could exist. It might have a decent plum-growing region, although the recent influx of retirees from California have converted some of the orchards to condos.

J’avais entièrement révisé cette Xbox 360 il y a quelques années.

Condos neufs, pâte thermique, plusieurs heures de tests : RAS.

Je la range en attendant de la vendre.

Quelques années plus tard, je la rallume …

The real problem we face in the standard time vs daylight saving time debate is that we were all dumb by settling in the north and this is why all our boomer relatives who can afford it have condos in Florida for the winter.
I mean it also sucks for it to be dark at 7 am while getting my kids ready for school. Have we considered that this time of year just kind of sucks in Washington.
Dammit. In another week it will be dark at 5pm again. Standard Time sucks and should be done away with.

Sincerely,

Everyone in Seattle.

Unrelated but worked at coworking spot in old grain exchange building on trading floor. Dang that place is cool. Last time they can host it there as building is being bought for condos or something and unsure what this room will be used for, but believe they have to retain it for historical reasons.
