Like, i get it: law professors like @stevevladeck.bsky.social feel a need to defend courts as good-faith actors. Otherwise, their line of work—interpreting the Constitution—is reduced to a sham. But if Constitutional principles can change based on who is on SCOTUS, theyre not real principles at all

The Second Amendment is part of our Constitution. So is the responsibility of government to protect public safety. Background checks, measures to keep firearms away from dangerous individuals, and other evidence-based safeguards deserve serious consideration.

The definition of treason in the USA is based upon the Constitution, Article III, Section 3, and is VERY limited as it applies only to actions during declared wars (which the US hasn't had since WWII).
