The champion in my #ContainerGarden this summer has been this Purslane (Portulaca grandiflora I think, not sure of the variety). It has thrived in the heat, quadrupled in size, and produced dozens of large, beautifully satured salmon-pink blossoms. #Gardening #Botany #BloomScrolling

I'm enjoying an exuberant display of Cosmos in my #ContainerGarden. One fun thing about gardening on this micro scale is you can really keep on top of the deadheading, which in turn keeps the blossoms blooming. #ContainerGardening

I got a late start, but started from seeds indoors with a grow light.
These are up in a tall raised bed on one of our decks. The tomatoes hang right over deck rail.

The greehouse is up and running. There may be a few more plants, but I don't want to overload the shelves. They hold up to 22 lbs, and I think three planters is enough. But I have room on the end table for at least three more. #Greenhouse #ContainerGarden

A heat-tolerant champion in my #ContainerGarden is Lewisia cotyledon 'Elise' -- an alpine native of CA & other states, named for Lewis of Lewis & Clark. It had some lovely blooms which died back, then about 3 weeks later BAM double the blooms suddenly appeared #Botany #BloomScrolling

The greenhouse is here, and it's up! I have a small table for the extension cord and grow light to sit on. Planning to upgrade the light to a hanging one, but until then, this will do :) #greenhouse #containerGarden

Purple Basil has been crowned the Patio Table Centerpiece for the week.
Grown from seeds in my greenhouse this spring, this herb is a great compliment to fruit and salad dishes when used as a garnish, or to add color to pesto sauces.

Cucomelons and more lettuce have been transplanted into 1-gallon pots. They'll be brought inside once I get a small greenhouse set up in here. Now working on germinating adzuki, and will be planting perilla and chives as well. #containerGarden
