for me, it was the “holy shit” moment watching @letta.com bots on Bluesky
there’s something clearly different and more intelligent in a new way, something far more tangible and generally useful than a superb math or coding model

I'd really just like to emphasize that during my time at G/O almost every single person who worked there went out of their way on a continual basis to make sure Jim Spanfeller had as little influence on editorial as possible. This "discussion" happened entirely within his own skull.
Not for nothing, this Spanfeller "epilogue" features one of the most ignorant, nonsensical, and atrociously written paragraphs on the purpose and practice of journalism I've ever read.
