A federal court called it mass surveillance. Congress wrote three ban bills. Communities are pulling contracts. Officers are being charged. The company is now cutting jobs. It's been a hard two weeks for Flock Safety.

Reuters reports Flock Safety is cutting 18% of its staff amid backlash. In the same week, Illinois officers were criminally charged for misuse, a Colorado woman filed a class action, and multiple counties cancelled contracts.

Shortage and growth aren't the same fight. New AZ subdivisions inside an active management area must prove a 100-year assured supply before they're platted, so most of that growth is papered. The Colorado's cuts land on the lowest-priority contracts first: mostly agriculture, not taps.

Their best bet would be to adopt a standard contract they use for everyone and stop trying to shove rights grabbing contracts at every new artist, and publish it openly on their site.

Odds that they will?

The oil itself is not the point for Trump. The building contracts are extremely lucrative.

The Texas Supreme Court is grappling with a pivotal question: Is crude oil in local tank farms exempt from property tax under the Constitution's import-export clause?

Get the details!

Justices test arguments on whether oil staged in county tank farms is exempt from property tax under import‑export clause
In consolidated cases from San Patricio County, petitioners and respondents disputed whether crude oil present in large tank farms at the time of assessment is in a 'continuous stream of export' and thus immune from ad valorem taxation; counsel disputed whether interstate movement is required and whether contracts or constant local presence control the test.

The government contracts are bad enough but the rules being bent to assist racist Musk. Could you imagine these people having access to your phone records? Do you think you can trust Musk at all? He is an open racist yet this POS covered Musk as if they are legitimate.

So again the person who wrote this fluffy propaganda piece for Musk and Starlink failed to mention key points. The list of government contracts Starlink has which bankrolls them. The direct connection to Donnie do nothing and Musk guaranteeing his ability to seize the mobile market.

Got a confirmation for my work contract being extended for two more years after this. Sadly there are mostly time-limited contracts in science here, so it will still be ongoing topic, but nevertheless feels pretty good to be in a somewhat stable position!
