Doing some blending with the Thompson Bros 33yo North British and some Convalmore 24. Some people's nightmare but it works well I think! Happy Halloween! #whisky

The Convalmore is ginger and spice with a fruity backbone. The Caol Ila 40 is a neck pour but so far I’m liking it. The fruit, peat and brine are still very much there. My son is trying the Brora and Ardbeg. I keep forgetting these tags! #whisky

It was the bottle which happened to be open. And it was the last shot left. I have another '67 and two '65s plus a number of bottles from the early 70s. My most treasured ones are probably two Brora from '82 and two Convalmore from '78. They've become so expensive that I hesitate to open them.
