I love how #Coprinaceae can either #deliquesce into a primordial ooze, or curl into thin paper and slowly be destroyed by the wind.

Aaaagh, not in my yard please! I had some coprinaceae from a rotting stump that I discovered in the backyard and I dug it all up in fear my dog would sample it and get sick or worse!

Looks like Coprimus comatus. Not native but common in parks and gardens.This site has a good description - you'll know for sure if they black and slimey (common names include Shaggy Ink Cap for this reason).
