There's an excellent line up of speakers for this year's @huddersfieldhistory.org.uk History Day. If you fancy attending but you're not a member of the society, why not become a member on the day - you'll get free admission and a copy of the next journal

The first guy in line walked out with a Switch 2 and a copy of the game, so I guess so lol

The real hook is whatever makes someone stop mid-scroll, not the first line of copy.

i think often about how the original ff7 translation was done by 1 guy on a tight schedule to get it out by christmas who didn't even have a copy of the jp game. bro had a spreadsheet that didn't even indicate who was saying what line.

Before: In today’s fast paced digital landscape, it is imperative to stay ahead of the curve.

After AI: Stay ahead or get left behind.

You see it everywhere… LinkedIn posts now 7 words per line, ads now 5 words headline.

AI didn’t make copy longer, it made copy tighter.

He's one of my favorite forgotten artists. I've been looking for AGES for a copy of Mouse Klub Konfidential, even if it's probably wildly over the line by modern standards.

Tim and Pete is one of the most important books in my political development.

When editing my copy of the Constitution to bring it in line with my ideals, I got to the part about ratification, where it said it required 9 states, because it was still just 13 colonies at the time, and I think we should keep "9 of the 13 original colonies" for a new Constitution
Underrated that the 13 colonies voted Dem this cycle lol

The reality came into focus when I listened to the commentary on my DVD copy all those years ago and heard him translate the line "Deus Ex Machina" as "the god machine" and not really know what it meant

Saying no faster to jobs with no checkable middle step is the rule I'd copy — I turned down a whole product line the same way when I couldn't price the first piece. And forums arguing you into it is the best kind of evidence: the rule survived contact with readers.

Lmao I went to pick up my copy of Zelda from the Best Buy near my job and there was a giant line of pokemon card scalpers camping on the sidewalk

The genre's most famous line may be fake. In his 1976 memoir, Willie Sutton said of "because that's where the money is": "I never said it." He blamed a reporter filling out his copy.

Shout-out to the 16th century scribe who copied the complete text of the hymn Veni creator spiritus WITH its Easter doxology 15 times. (She provides it as a recurring refrain for each and every line of Ps 55 AND its doxology, given in two halves.)
