related point is that because mechanical intelligence has so many intrinsic advantages-- speed, tirelessness, perfect recall, copyability [basically Speed + Scale from bostroms speed/scale/quality typology], necessarily it MUST have shortcomings in some area to be "AGI" level, else it would be ASI

I think there's a level vs shape distinction and intelligence isn't a simple linear scale. AGI as human "level" falls apart because it implies human shaped. We could have arguably ASI which is still not human shaped and therefore we still hire humans etc.
