In Elementary school we got our hands on a stapled copypaper stack with traceable bodies, head shapes, facial features, hairdos etc. we had no idea it was actually from a Shrinky Dinks craft set from a decade earlier where you drew on plastic sheets. (Continued1/4)

I want thrm to be represented, valued and seen. Low entry works, just personal aspiration of "I made this comic"

Tbh i think its partially zine rejections that made me shake it up bc i still wanna get accepted into my first zine so bad but zines kinda expect you to have an entire portfolio of fully rendered work with backgrounds — maybe one of these days ill make my own punkrock sketchy copypaper zine lol

tbh....i liked sitting on a desk hunched over, using a cheap 30 dollar lightbox from Micheals, OfficeDepot copypaper, bold cheap mechanical pencil, and an old zune and headphones, animating a crappy 2D short XD

It also doesn't help to have gated communities of trans people divided by race - I am thinking particularly of the famous 4chan /tttt/ board copypaper people love so much - because this lends credence to the choads who think that trans people come in one flavor and none other

Of course I'll get a nice one once in a while. And goid sketchbooks are based on paper first, binding second, format third. But.... copypaper suffices for me now [reminder to myself!]

I'm traditional only so my switch up only comes in materials used, but sometimes a sizing down to a simple pencil and copypaper are amazing when I am used to mechanical pencils, coloured leads, liner, ballpoint and water colour all the way through.

The old Manga is from 2010 and at that time I was drawing everything on copypaper with a thin liner and some gray markers. Only the lettering was done on PC😱
It was a very short story with just a few pages and not making much sense at some points. Storytelling definitely not the strong part of that.

Yeah, canvas isn't really needed and it takes way too much space to store. Also oils are really good for smooth surfaces, so I took a piece of thick paper(I think 200 g/cm, it's 3 times harder then copypaper), stretched it with tape and grounded and toned with acrylic paint so paper doesn't dissolve
