haha wouldn't it be crazy if there was an actual form of trauma awareness irg to sexuality and paraphilias and a system in place for victims to seek safety and a system in place for abusers to properly reflect without corperal punishment due to traumas influence on sexual abuse.

The whole point of Corperal Carrot is that he is possibly the only cop who, on some level, isn't a dirty, little bastard ready to put a boot into somebody's face. And Vimes consistently being mesmerized by his decency is the kind of thing that help Vimes grow.
