In Cambridge recently, I visited the Corpus Clock with its Grasshopper Chronophage [Time Eater]. Inscribed "Mundus Transit et Concupiscentia Eius" [The World and Its Desires Pass Away], the clock marks the hour with the sound of rattling chains & a hammer striking a coffin!
