Can we get #cosyne2025 on Bluesky?…
I think BlueSky will be significantly better for conferences than any other site. Organisers can create speaker starter packs to allow attendees to auto-follow all speakers. Also a custom feed of all folks skeeting abut a conf would be a big win.
Advocating that tech conferences start including Bluesky accounts on profile pages and badges is already working!

It worked! I'm so excited!! Abstract accepted!!! #Cosyne2025 will be the debut of my approach to the systems neuroscience of mood. I call it "iterative inference".

The challenge: Only you know how happy you are, but we can't record high resolution neural signals from your brain, so ....
In a year of adventures, I just:

1) Submitted my own (first-authored) abstract to a conference - (as a professor) I haven't done that in >15 years.

2) Was at a loss with keywords because none fit - I've studied "hip" topics for 30 yrs & it's never happened to me.

Fingers crossed they like it!

At #Cosyne2025? Come by my poster today (3-047) to hear how sequential predictive learning produces a continuous neural manifold with the ability to generate replay during sleep, and spatial representations that "sweep" ahead to future positions. All from sensory information alone!

Very late, but had a 🔥 time at my first Cosyne presenting my work with @nandahkrishna.bsky.social, Ximeng Mao, @mattperich.bsky.social, and @glajoie.bsky.social on real-time neural decoding with hybrid SSMs. Keep an eye out for a preprint (hopefully) soon 👀

I'm grateful for this NIH pin. Among the places I plan to wear it: #cosyne2025 in a few weeks, a meeting that many of our NIH friends (including trainees!) were planning to attend but cannot (due to the travel ban).
