It does leave me somehow with the sadness that for reasons when I transitioned I didn't get to explore clothes, makeup, self-expression -- in short HOW TO GIRL (or, indeed, fly) -- as thoroughly as Max does. But couldawouldashoulda is no way to live a life. 3/

But in the end couldawouldashoulda is just a token for regret. As @zoeoconnell.co.uk once put it to me “it was always going to happen, and it was always going to happen when it happened”. Better to integrate the years in between as the necessary prologue.

Yeah, I think about that sometimes. I think my teens & early 20s would have been a LOT easier.
Thankfully for my younger childhood I think my particular combination was less impactful then.
