Still pissed at Triple H for counterprogramming the Pac tribute then tweeting about it during the show.

So, in summary, they failed to stop AEW selling out in Chicago, delayed their stream to fuck with Dynamite, insisted on counterprogramming a tribute show to their own former roster member, and not only got beat like a fucking drum, but AEW hit their biggest viewership level in years.
WWE and Philatio Brooks failed at counter programming this show so that’s probably why we got the stupid Salon article

The entire saga of Worlds Collide 2026 is a series of embarrassing defeats for the McMahon apparatus, they really took the PR hit of refusing to change course with counterprogramming Dynamite after PAC died and still ended up with nothing to show for it.

another smashing attempt at counterprogramming

I think part of the issue was SNL was originally designed to scoff at other 1970s variety shows, so it was neither fish nor fowl and it has outlived everything it was counterprogramming against. Yeah, definitely odd and dated

I wasn't calling it "The Fed" myself 90% of the time. I think "Triple K's company" is more fitting personally. But if they're gonna bitch...like they didn't just finish spamming slurs and saying people deserved abuse for ctiticizing counterprogramming an AEW tribute show...

Yeah fuck The Fed.
The same mfs who were all for Heyman throwing racist insults at their fellow fans last year are all of a sudden very vocal about how AEW fans shouldn't call the other company The Fed because "That's mean :( "

Like actually shut the fuck up.

on one hand i feel for the wwe talent that didn't feel they could speak without anonymity re: the counterprogramming. who knows what tko would do in retaliation. on the other hand, why'd you sign with a company who absolutely would retaliate for something like that
October 1, 2026 at 3:25 PM
I'm not going to quote post it cause I don't want other people getting angry but I need to vent about seeing a clip of WWE dubbing a tribute to into the commentary on Worlds Collide, because they chose to not reschedule a YouTube premiere that was counterprogramming his memorial show. Fuck the Fed.
October 1, 2026 at 3:28 AM
Okay, it turned out it wasn't too late for them to delete it. For accountability's sake, this was Fightful linking to WWE's shameless, pitiful counterprogramming
September 30, 2026 at 11:55 PM
The show is taped. They can air it any time. Hell, if they're really set on counterprogramming AEW, they could do it Saturday against Collision. The fact that they had other avenues open and chose to do this really hammers home how ghoulish they are, even beyond their usual ghoulish tendencies.

The Fed is lame for counterprogramming AEW tonight so idc how he feels about it
September 30, 2026 at 7:18 PM
Add another example supporting the "counterprogramming to prevent defections" theory, even if it requires counterprogramming a tribute show to a deceased former roster member.

Are WWE really counterprogramming against the Pac tribute tonight?!
September 30, 2026 at 5:41 PM
literally this week, WWE are counterprogramming a tribute show to a wrestler who died tragically

as in, they're actively competing with and trying to draw viewers away from a show in tribute to the untimely death of ONE OF THEIR OWN FORMER EMPLOYEES
September 30, 2026 at 4:33 PM
I'm not kidding, man. If WWE goes through with a head to head against a memorial show for a guy who worked there for six years, that's really the point of no return. It's their spoiling Mick Foley's title win and counterprogramming with the Fingerpoke of Doom. 🤼‍♂️
September 30, 2026 at 4:02 PM
where will "needlessly counterprogramming a memorial show" rank in the Observer awards for 2026
September 30, 2026 at 2:46 PM
This is very much counterprogramming.
September 30, 2026 at 6:18 AM
There should be a thread on the top of r/SC urging everyone not to watch the WWE show tomorrow and instead watch the PAC tribute, but the mods wouldn’t allow it because that sub thinks all the gross things WWE does are fine and we all just have to accept counterprogramming and shut up about it. 🤼
September 30, 2026 at 4:59 AM
keeping in mind it is a taped show and nobody would fault wwe/aaa for moving it to tomorrow or next week or whatever. instead, they look ghoulish counterprogramming a tribute show for pac.
September 30, 2026 at 2:33 AM
I wouldn't harp on it if the report literally wasn't saying "People in their own company do not want their company counterprogramming AEW this one night because they lost the same friend and his tribute doesn't deserve the nonsense."

And fans of The Fed are deadass saying "Fuck courtesy."

Demons.
September 30, 2026 at 1:37 AM
counterprogramming the pac episode is the typical class i expect from stamford wrestling
September 30, 2026 at 1:01 AM
I don't get the "oh no they're counterprogramming the other show" nonsense. A guy fucking died dude. Chill out. Just go "huh that's stupid" and remember a guy that was awesome
