Exactly. I have NEVER liked country music. I like bluegrass and Americana and folk, but country is nails on a chalkboard to my ears. My aversion to it is 50+ years old. So no, I have never heard "Choosin' Texas," nor do I intend to.

There is actually a lot of good country music being made, but it's mostly filed under "Americana" and/or made by weird foreigners.

The thing about modern country music is that what has traditionally been called country music is now called Americana & played on non-commercial stations, and “country” which is Nash Trash focus grouped, airbrushed aughts pop and butt rock with a fake twang and an occasional fiddle.
