Countryfile this evening is from Dartmoor. It features Fingle Woods - a project I worked on for about 9 years altogether. It's an amazing place, full of hope for nature recovery. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...
BBC One - Countryfile, Dartmoor
Countryfile is in Dartmoor, famous for its rugged landscape, vast moorland and ponies.

@privateeyenews.bsky.social this week reveals the shocking ignorance of two BBC Countryfile presenters - one of whom, Adam Henson, is a livestock farmer - about the treatment of farm animals. I see such lapses as *professional ignorance*: there are things that are safer not to know.

By the way my dog’s actual name is Sophie but she also answers to any variation of the theme “you’re perfect and the best thing that’s ever happened to me”

Fascinating piece in tonight’s #Countryfile on a temperate rainforest in western Scotland. There are only a few temperate rainforests in the world (as opposed to tropical).
Hugely interesting- especially about the enormous number of lichen.
Who knew?!
