Just sat though a lunch meeting for the H's business. They are not going to be able to start- or complete any grant-funded work on historical sites or homes D/T OMB freeze. He was in the process of starting a job & hiring more help.
Nope. Great economy lately-

But COVIDtime is its own thing; it doesn't mark the beginning of a decade afaict. There was a way in which COVID year 1, the George Floyd killing, all the way through January 6 felt like the miserable denouement of the Trump era.

Exactly 5 years ago I wasn't allowed to leave the flat because of quarantine...and since eating alone was stupid, I just ate soup with BigKuma.

The Dutch have been going full-Thorbecke the past several years, with covidtime making it worse.

Everyone needs to do whatever they want; society is just this inconvenient thing that gets in our way of having our way.

it just feels like stringerbelling everything is going to involve an online-comms lockdown surpassing the height of COVIDtime physical lockdown. Which doesn't work for me, though of course others are feel to weigh their own inputs according to their own judgement.

Though now inhabitants of The Right, where did these cooker nutters spring from...my feeling is they were originally from across the political spectrum, with more than a few from the wacky Left?
I wonder if, had COVIDtime govt been Right, would they have still settled Right now?

to be fair, she coordinates with *most* things in my home, ahem. I swear my home was like this before I adopted her, and she was *literally* the only cat I could get my hands on to adopt over the 3 month period I was approved at 5 difft shelters. (COVIDtime and G was avail b/c she had "issues")

Day is now being measured in “# of times dog is in/out” and weeks by “# of bagels or amount of milk remaining”. Take note of these new measurements. #COVIDTime

May not work for you personally because from what I remember you don’t do workwear but when I was perm WFH in Covidtime I would dress in my office clothes for work and change for home.
I wouldn’t touch work stuff if not in work clothes. Found it help make it feel like distinct parts of the day.

Some of my covidtime trainees still use me as a reference (which is great! Happy to be a reference for them!) but this recruiter just emailed me like a whole job interview for me to fill out about the person. I'm happy to recommend her but why tf did you send me TWELVE ESSAY QUESTIONS essentially
August 15, 2024 at 1:08 PM
Help me out. I don't get the reference. 2020 was Covidtime.

Did that comic seem like he's been going extra crazy since Aline died? I remember a Covidtime comic he did where she was normal about it all but they pretty much agreed to disagree
