I love this season
Some people call it Fall
It's also Autumn

Roses are red
Can't believe it's November
It's gonna be mid-80s
So it's hard to remember

I'll always remember
The day in November
When I was pulled
Kicking and screaming
Without my permission
From a warm secure happy place
Into a confusing dysfunctional world
I hope to make
A little better than it was

At sea, it's a nautical disaster
When a storm sinks a ship
In '75, was on a Great Lake
With no intent to be tragically hip
Fitzgerald went down in a wreck
Its fate could not be drearier
The water proved to the crew on deck
That it was the one Superior

Thanksgiving in the USA
Has a wide-reaching fandom
It happens on a Thursday
Which one, I think is chosen at random
It's supposed to celebrate gratitude
With friends and family meeting
Showing their appreciation
For how much they're overeating.
