My crohns doesn't seem to care that it's my favourite day of the year so it's just as well my plans for the day were just to bed rot watching movies etc because my illness isn't going to let me do much else it seems

One upside to crohns is I never have to eat any of that gross bread with hunks of seeds and the hulls of grain in it.

I have crohns so I've had a few colonoscopies where you have to be on a liquid diet. Interestingly, jello is considered liquid! It kinda tricks you into thinking you are eating. Also chicken broth!

this was a big part of transitioning for us, like we spent nearly 2 years in the hospital from undiagnosed crohns and when we were finally medicated and not in constant pain yeah it was like a lot of stuff rushed through that had been shoved down

I really thought I was dying and was five minutes away from calling an ambulance last night. It was horrific. I'm sitting down just watching YouTube, when suddenly I get awful pain under my ribs, on both sides. I managed to get to the toilet, but everything is stuck. the speed at which i can transition from feeling normal to shitting blood 15 times a day is remarkable. i have to be honest i am a bit perplexed about it from a crohns perspective bc it doesn't fit what i read about how flare ups go. but then experience of Crohn's is hugely specific to the person
