Follow-up: Iran just called BS and said Trump lied again. They reaffirmed once again that ships can only cross the Strait via IRGC-approved route with permission. Same old story, different day.
Trump again backs down, claiming Iran (and others) are begging for a deal so he can cancel the attack. Same old story: “locked and loaded” threats, then pause for talks on Hormuz and nukes. Get it DONE… until the next time.

Also, again, Iran doesn’t have to interdict every ship. They just have to prove that you could be one of today’s unlucky few for nobody to want to cross the strait
I feel like the only remaining question for "is the Iran War going to be a long term global clusterfuck" was "does Iran actually still have the capability to fuck up shipping in the strait" and today answered that with a resounding yes

we decided to own the PLA by doing our own cross strait air assault just to show them we can
this has @jimlaporta.bsky.social in the byline so I am trusting that this is correct and the intent in the reporting is that their sources are indeed telling them one of the COAs is a helicopter assault, which if so is even more lol, lmao than if we were discussing the 82nd dropping in

We are now escorting ships through the strait where we are bombing ships that cross the strait because we can't have the Iranians bombing ships for crossing the strait that we don't want them to bomb which is why we are bombing them.
