this is also very stupid because the totenkopf, specifically, is maybe the *single* skull and crossbones design that you could pick which is *unambiguously* nazi shit, out of the infinite number of skull and crossbones designs you could get tattooed, that's the *only* one that has *no* other meaning
this whole thing is incredibly insulting to everyone's intelligence, but i'll say, from experience, that if you get a tattoo which might have even the slightest hint of a hidden meaning, every rando who thinks they know anything about tattoos is going to mention something to you about it
I believe it was @golikehellmachine.com who first observed here that if he ever had his shirt off in front of a tattooist while getting his other work done, they would have noticed his Nazi tattoo & engaged him forcefully on the question of why he had it, & whether he wanted to be rid of it
