Albemarle County Police responded to the scene at about 1:35p.m., where they found three adults suffering gunshot wounds. Two were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they believe the suspected gunman began shooting in the parking lot and struck two other people. A good Samaritan, who was leaving the grocery store at that moment, then reportedly used their own weapon to stop the attack. The suspected shooter was pronounced dead at the scene, while the good Samaritan is reportedly uninjured. The county is still investigating the relationship between the gunshot victims.
