There is no reason to immediately invalidate an entire group's licenses other than to be cruel. There is no possible argument, even from their warped perspective, for it being in the interest of public good to not even give people advanced warning.

SNAP gets cut off at midnight. WIC ends when the last stopgap funding runs out (which will be soon). Head Start funding stops at midnight. ICE is targeting Halloween celebrations. Why do we let the GOP pretend one of their primary motivations isn't ruining children's and families' lives?
