Since Scott Gillingham says he’ll never reduce the speed limit on P1 routes, I propose we do a weekly mass ride Sunday nights this summer down Portage. We’ll call it Cruise Control.

Een vriend belt me net op dat die een 'final destination' moment had. Hij reed met zijn auto met cruisecontrol op de snelweg, toen kwam er een tragere auto voor hem, dus hij trapt zijn rem in, maar de cruisecontrol ging niet uit. Toen deed die het knopje van de cruisecontrol uit en hij bleef aan 😳

Mijn cruisecontrol stond op 70 toen ik op de ring reed waar de maximum snelheid 70 is. Dus toen er een dikke BMW begon te bumperkleven en knipperen met zijn lichten heb ik mijn cruisecontrol natuurlijk direct voor hem aangepast. Naar 60 😇

Waardoor de auto steeds meer gas begon te geven. Hij kreeg hem niet in zijn vrij (automaat).
Hij heeft zich uiteindelijk wel veilig tot stilstand kunnen brengen. Hoe weet ik nog niet precies. Maar de uit-schakelaar en de rem-schakelaar van de cruisecontrol waren tegelijk defect. Jeeeeez

De #cruisecontrol op 50 km/uur en je krijgt heus geen boete.
Er wonen daar veel mensen in de buurt hoor en de milieubelasting van te hard rijdende auto's is aanzienlijk.
