Ripple's acquisition of the prime broker Hidden Road, which is expected to boost the XRP Ledger's utility, is also seen as a positive factor. Additionally, Ripple's acquisition of a payments license in Dubai and its alleged link to the DTCC could also drive the XRP price up. The analyst also mentioned the possibility of Ripple acquiring the USDC issuer Circle and the approval of XRP ETFs could also contribute to the price surge. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse's recent comments on crypto ETFs were seen as a hint that these ETFs will be approved soon. The ongoing XRP lawsuit could also be a catalyst if it ends soon. From a technical perspective, the analyst highlighted bullish indicators like a bull flag that had formed on XRP's weekly chart. Another analyst, CasiTrades, stated that the XRP price hasn't made a local low yet but is on the verge of doing that, and that all signs point to a retest of the $2.25 to $2.26 zone. If that support zone holds, it could mark the base for a new wave toward $2.70.

Crypto analyst Cryptoinsight observed intriguing price action for XRP, particularly its funding rates and spot volume. Open interest is increasing alongside heavily negative funding rates and a declining premium, suggesting leveraged players drove XRP's recent downturn. Spot volume is surging as XRP tests a year-long support level, creating a bullish divergence on the 4-hour chart. The analyst anticipates a potential, forceful bounce, potentially triggering a short squeeze. Darkfost noted the prevalence of short positions and negative funding rates, signaling a possible price reversal. Historically, similar negative funding rates have preceded significant price increases for XRP. ChartNerd emphasizes the importance of a monthly close above the $1.91 EMA for XRP's future. A breakout from a 3-week falling wedge suggests a potential target of $2.40, though further resistance is expected. ChartNerd maintains that a rally to $27 remains a possibility, despite current resistance levels. XRP is currently trading around $1.90, experiencing a slight price increase.

CryptoInsight predicts XRP could crash below $2, needing to surpass $2.30 to invalidate the bearish outlook.
