Last year, I posted about Cuauhtémoc.
500 years ago, on the 28th of February 1525, the Aztec ruler Cuauhtémoc was executed. He was the last Huey Tlatoani, or Emperor, of the Aztec empire. His death was order by Hernán Cortés as he thought Cuauhtémoc and others were conspiring to kill him, a theory he based on no evidence.
