💚Update on my arms & hands 7.5 mo. post op for my right & 3.5 for my left.💚
I'm drawing/ sculpting mostly without pain, & I did setup/ tear down of our booth on Friday with minimal help. I'm shocked my hands only have minor tingling & pain today.

The worst part about having carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome and being a maker, is wanting to do ALL THE THINGS but my hands and elbows just plain say no. Like… how do I do anything without my hands?

Hoping today has my symptom flare-up starting to ease up. I chose to splint my right elbow to reduce strain on the ulnar nerve yesterday. It feels a bit better today, but we'll see how it feels this evening after I finish my workday.

I was able to draw for a couple minutes yesterday without hurting or paying for it later! And my hand didn't feel clumsy. I'm still working on full range of motion for my elbow and wrist, but progress is progress.

OT got my elbow to bend that far last week but it's been worse since so I'm excited to see progress.

Now if only my dang wrist would cooperate.

My left arm is getting fixed on Tuesday!!

I'm hoping that being pretty drugged after surgery will have my right arm feeling awesome. It has more good days than bad now, but it gets fatigued easily & I still have occasional pins & needles if I do too much.

My nerves yell "sandpaper" or "I am stabbed" when I touch something soft sometimes. Doing desensitization exercises as often as I can. It's more startling and amusing than problematic- I just thought I'd share this weird part of recovery.

I’ve been using dictation more and more to help compensate for my carpal and cubital tunnel problems. On the one hand, it’s fantastic that we have this available but on the other, dictating punctuation still feels so bizarre.

Last time i deadlifted it was 6x170. This time it was 7x180kg. Neurological issues are odd. Deadlift seems barely impaired, but i dropped my lock minutes before. I can do the startrek greeting with the other hand, not this one. Only my pinky is numb but all is a bit affected
