So the English commentary is not Rocky (rocky told cubsfan he is too busy to do it) and not being handled by AEW (cubsfan was reached out to by someone in AEW to say their involvement has just been getting CMLL in contact with ppv providers). Triller also claims they don't know who it is

After reading the latest Luchablog, I learned that the first big Mexican free agent battle between AEW and WWE was Arez, who picked AEW to do the El Clon gimmick. 🤼

But the real issue, like Cubsfan mentioned when he wrote about this, is CMLL is becoming just another thing for online fans to argue about in the wrestling culture war. Nobody really cares about the promotion moreso than what it represents for WWE vs AEW. 🧵🤼

Cubsfan was live on post wrestling when the news broke. Tldr cmll doesn't have the money he expects Andrade to want. AEW obviously would but he already left once. He speculates NJPW could be a likely spot

I don’t know if you saw this, but it’s good news for the library. Cubsfan/luchablog is the de facto source for lucha news.
AAA never owned the Lucha Underground library so WWE doesn't either. I believe it's owned by Viacom.
Does this mean WWE owns the Lucha Underground library?

This match getting announced pretty much instantly after Friday made me think work for sure but idk if anyone has reported it. Cubsfan pretty much said he doesn't see a world where this match is announced and aew risks looking stupid if he was actually hurt.

Arez is/was a free agent and was checked out by the E, they offered him a deal (with the idea he’d join AAA), Arez told AEW he’d been offered a deal and they came back to him with a better offer.

Cubsfan says the Mas Lucha stream of AVE (semi big 4 way mask match main event) has more viewers live than MLW. This is especially funny because MLW is a free stream while I am pretty sure the Mas Lucha one is paid.

I don't think there's any connection to lucha politics or Kenny working AAA in this.
